A. One of the options offered in the "Tax Exempt Organization Search, formerly (Select Check)" tool on irs.gov, is a search for organizations whose tax exempt status was automatically revoked. Since many non-profits have similar names, you are most likely to find the organization you are searching for by entering the EIN.
When your organization's name comes up, the site lists both the revocation date and the revocation posting date. (When exempt status has been reinstated, the reinstatement date is also listed here.) Your 501(c)(3) reinstatement application is on time for streamlined reinstatement if it is filed no later than 15 months after the more recent of these two dates.
